8 Dec – Vic Sotto has denied speculations saying that Maine Mendoza has been suspended from the noontime show, "Eat Bulaga!"
As reported on PEP, rumours of Mendoza's suspension sparked recently, after the actress was absent from the show following her open letter to her fans clarifying once and for all that she and her onscreen partner Alden Richards are just friends.
When asked about it, Sotto, who appeared at the press conference of his new Metro Manila Film Festival movie, "Meant to Beh", said that the actress is currently on vacation.
"I'm not really in the know, I'm not privy to anything involving her personal decision. Whatever it is, just respect her decision, whatever she's going through," he said.
Sotto also stated that he is unclear as to whether or not Mendoza will return to "Eat Bulaga", but assured that the actress is not suspended from the show.
"You can ask Mr. [Tony] Tuviera about it. I know nothing," he said.
